International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), organized by the Science Olympiad Foundation, is a premier mathematics competition. The IMO evaluates students' mathematical skills and potential, allowing participants to gauge their understanding and problem-solving abilities at school, local, zonal, and international levels. This prestigious competition provides an excellent platform for self-assessment and offers numerous rewards and scholarships to high achievers.

The SOF International Mathematics Olympiad is structured in two levels:
Level 1:
The first level is held at the participants' respective schools during school hours.
- For classes 1 to 4, the test consists of 35 multiple-choice questions, while for classes 5 to 12, it includes 50 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the test is 60 minutes.
- The question paper is divided into four sections:
1. Logical Reasoning
2. Mathematical Reasoning
3. Everyday Mathematics
4. Achievers Section

- There are distinct question papers for each exam date.
- The test is conducted in English.
- The exam papers follow the CBSE, ICSE/ISC syllabi, and State Boards.
- The exam is administered during school hours.
Level 2:
This level is for students from Class 3 to Class 12.
Qualifiers for the second round include:
Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, from the first level exam internationally.
Top 25 rank holders from each zone and each class at the zone/state level.
Class toppers from schools where at least 10 students from a class participate and score at least 50% qualifying marks.
Additional Details for Level 2:
The second level of the IMO is designed to further challenge and distinguish top-performing students from the first level.
The exam pattern and question types remain similar, with a focus on higher-order thinking skills and more complex problem-solving.
This level typically takes place at designated centers rather than the students' own schools.
